The cold front which brought rainfall to Ireland overnight is currently moving across Britain, as seen in satellite imagery with scattered heavy showers following in behind.
The passing of the front on Ireland's east coast can be seen in this NASA satellite image from 11am today. The showers will retreat to the west and northwest coast this evening.
Plenty of dry and sunny conditions to come for Wednesday followed by frost and fog patches overnight into Thursday morning. Further bright winter sunshine can be expected across Ireland through Saturday. Feeling cold in a brisk south-westerly wind tomorrow turning southeasterly from Thursday.
