Unsettled conditions will persist across Ireland into early next week, with a trend toward more settled weather expected by the end of the first week of June.

A mobile Atlantic regime will continue to bring bands of rain and showers through the remainder of this week and into the early part of next week.

Over the next 10 days, the driest conditions are likely in the southeast, where rainfall totals may remain between 15–20 mm. In contrast, higher ground along Atlantic coastal counties in the southwest, west, and northwest could see 45–60 mm of rainfall.

Windy weather has returned following a prolonged spell of light to gentle winds. Gusts reached 79 km/h at () and () between Sunday and early Monday. () and Ireland West () also recorded gusts of 76 km/h.

Breezy conditions will continue through the early part of the week, especially along the south coast. Winds will ease somewhat on Tuesday away from southern and southeastern counties.

Temperatures over the coming days will range from 12–14°C in the north to 15–18°C in the south. Sheltered inland parts of east Ulster may experience a slight frost on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Looking ahead, there is increasing confidence that high pressure will build near Ireland from mid-next week. This could lead to more settled and drier conditions, particularly away from the northwest, depending on the positioning of the high over .
