South and East to See Best of Weather as Atlantic Influence Persists

Over the next 10 days, the south and east of Ireland will experience the driest and most settled weather conditions, while the far west and northwest will record the highest rainfall totals.
Atlantic weather systems will continue to dominate, bringing a mix of sunny spells, scattered showers, and longer outbreaks of rain — especially along western and northwestern coasts.
Rainfall totals will vary widely: from around 50mm in the northwest to just 5–8mm in parts of the south and east.
Temperatures will stay above the seasonal average, generally running 1°C above normal in the west and up to 4°C above normal in the east and southeast.
Conditions are expected to become less unsettled next week as high pressure builds northward from the Azores.
Outlook by Day
Thursday: Sunny spells and scattered showers, with persistent light rain or drizzle arriving along western and northwestern coasts by evening. Highs: 15–18°C, warmest in eastern areas. Winds: Moderate to fresh westerly.
Friday: Showers merging to longer spells of rain in the north and west. Drier with just isolated showers in the south and east. Highs: 17–23°C, warmest in Leinster and north Munster. Winds: Moderate to fresh southwesterly.
Saturday: A largely dry day with some scattered showers early on. Highs: 16–20°C. Winds: Light westerly.
Sunday: A band of rain will move into western and northern counties, staying drier further south and east. Highs: 14–24°C, cooler in the northwest. Winds: Light southwesterly.
Monday: Scattered showers, but many areas will remain dry. Highs: 15–20°C, again coolest in the northwest. Winds: Moderate westerly.
Rest of the Week: A more settled pattern is expected from Tuesday onwards as high pressure builds from the south. A few isolated showers may occur, especially in northern areas. Temperatures will stay in the mid to high teens, with light westerly winds gradually turning easterly midweek
