Satellite imagery shows showery conditions

Satellite imagery showed scattered heavy showers moving west to east across Ireland on Sunday.
In stark contrast to the crystal-clear skies over Ireland during the week, Sunday’s imagery presented a much more unsettled picture.
The showery and cooler theme will dominate weather conditions during the coming week.
There will be good spells of sunshine at times, however.

From Monday night through the rest of the coming week, temperatures will drop low enough for frost to form in places sheltered from the prevailing breeze.
For farmers, there will be a reduction in soil moisture deficits in the coming week, but grass growth will remain stunted in eastern counties.
The long-range outlook to the final week of April shows an increase in high pressure with below-average rainfall and a slightly above-normal temperature range.
