
Balmy in the southwest on Friday night

The temperature reached a balmy 15.1 C at Valentia in County Kerry on Friday night.
A mild airmass feeding up over Ireland from the southeast has resulted in temperatures reaching 18 to 19 C in places this week and has prevented overnight frosts.
Shannon Airport in County Clare recorded the warmest temperature of the year in Ireland to date on Wednesday when the mercury level there rose to 19.1 C.
Temperatures will hit the high teens in parts of the west during Saturday and Sunday.
It will remain colder along the east coast due to a moderate east wind.
High pressure will build closer to or over Ireland by midweek next week, resulting in winds falling light and the risk of overnight frosts increasing in inland locations. Overnight fog may be slow to clear in places.
Daytime temperatures will improve along the east coast from Monday, rising to the mid-teens at times.
