Nationwide, average air temperatures ranged from 0.1°C to 3.0°C above the seasonal norm.
Conditions were notably cooler along the east coast due to an onshore easterly breeze, with Dublin Airport registering a mean temperature of just 10.6°C.
According to Met Éireann, sunshine levels were significantly above normal across the country, reaching between 157% and 198% of the average. Sunshine hours ranged from 66.9 hours at Valentia Observatory in Kerry to 82.6 hours in Belmullet, County Mayo.
Rainfall was scarce in most areas. Met Éireann reported that the week was predominantly dry, with between 0 and 5 mm of rain falling across much of the country — representing just 0% to 31% of the average. Donegal saw slightly more rain, with 13.6 mm recorded, or 85% of the norm.
Looking ahead, high pressure is expected to remain in control, bringing another mostly dry week with little to no rainfall forecast.
