National sunshine levels ranged from 170% to 238% of normal, with Gurteen, Co. Tipperary seeing the least at 67.5 hours. The week ahead will be cloudier, with sunshine likely dropping to average or below.
Temperatures were warmest in the west, peaking at 15.4°C in Shannon, Co. Clare, and coolest in the east at 11.1°C in Dublin, according to Met Éireann.
Soil temperatures remained high, reaching up to 19.1°C. While days ahead will be cooler, nights will stay mild, and soil warmth will persist.
Rainfall was scarce last week, though heavy showers early on led to a peak of 20.3 mm at Casement Aerodrome, Dublin.
More unsettled conditions are expected, with 20–60 mm of rain forecast, particularly in the west and north.
