The west and north will see the highest totals.

Last week, Aerodrome in west saw the most rain (25 mm), while southern coastal areas had less than 20% of average rainfall. Sunshine was above normal, with recording 70.9 hours (170% of average), but cloudier skies are expected in the week ahead.

Temperatures were warm for May, ranging from 11.9°C in Dublin to 15°C in , according to Met Éireann.

Soil temperatures were 3°C to 6°C above average. The coming week will be cooler by day but milder at night, with mean temperatures between 12°C and 14°C.

Poor drying and limited spraying conditions are forecast. With soil moisture deficits still high in parts of the south and southeast, growth remains restricted, while some northwest and southwest areas risk saturation.

risk is high in southern regions from late Monday through Wednesday morning. Farmers are urged to spray where possible this evening.
