Damp and overcast in many areas, but a clearance to drier, brighter conditions will spread from the west by mid-afternoon. Skies will continue to clear into the evening.

Friday:
Similar to Thursday. Patchy drizzle or mist in places early on, followed by a gradual clearance from the northwest. Most areas becoming dry with some sunny spells by afternoon.

Saturday:
Largely dry overall. Some light drizzle may affect the west and northwest. Best of the sunshine in the southeast and east.

Sunday:
A band of rain will move in from the northwest during the morning, tracking eastwards. Southern and southeastern areas may stay dry. The afternoon will bring mostly dry conditions, with isolated showers in the west and northwest.

Winds: Moderate westerly.
Monday:
Wet and windy nationwide. A deepening low-pressure system will cross the country early in the day. Strongest winds, with gusts over 90 km/h, are expected along the Atlantic coast and in Ulster. Rainfall will be heaviest in western and northern coastal counties. The southeast may see drier, less windy conditions.

Winds: Strong southwesterly.
Tuesday:
Damp to start over Ulster and north Leinster, with drier, brighter conditions following by afternoon. Further south and west will stay mostly dry.

Winds: Fresh westerly, easing later.

Remaining changeable, with mostly cloudy skies and occasional mist or drizzle, especially along Atlantic coasts. Southern and eastern areas will be drier and brighter at times.
