uk_met_office_forecast-1200x675 Unsettled Conditions to Dominate Early November, Says UK Met Office

The UK Met Office has warned of an unsettled spell of weather at the end of October and into the first half of November, with a series of Atlantic systems expected to bring rain and strong winds to many areas.

A deep area of low pressure is forecast to move in from the southwest later next week, bringing outbreaks of heavy rain and gusty winds as it tracks across the UK. Once this system clears, the following weekend is likely to turn cooler and showery.

The changeable pattern is expected to continue into the first half of November, with further spells of rain or showers interspersed with brief brighter intervals. The wettest conditions are likely across northern and northeastern parts of the UK, while the southwest may see the driest weather overall.

Temperatures are expected to remain close to or slightly below the seasonal average, with a distinctly autumnal feel persisting into mid-month.
