A blustery week lies ahead, with frequent showers in the west and north but plenty of dry weather in the south and east. Winds will remain fresh at times over the coming days, especially near Atlantic coasts, but are expected to ease early next week.
Today (Monday):
Wind and rain will continue to ease through the early afternoon, leaving a largely dry day with sunny spells. A few isolated showers are possible in the afternoon and evening, especially in the northwest. It will remain blustery, particularly across north Ulster.
Highs: 15–19°C, coolest in the northwest.
Winds: Fresh westerly.
Tonight:
Some showers will feed into the northwest, otherwise dry with clear spells.
Tuesday:
A mainly dry day with sunny intervals. Scattered showers may affect north Connacht and Ulster.
Highs: 16–20°C.
Winds: Fresh northwesterly, easing later.
Wednesday:
A dry and bright start. Cloud will build from the southwest during the afternoon, with light rain arriving in the west by evening. Rain will spread east overnight, though many southern and eastern areas will stay dry.
Highs: 16–20°C.
Winds: Gentle southerly, increasing to moderate or fresh later.
Thursday:
A damp start in places, with a clearance through the morning. Patchy rain or drizzle may linger in Ulster, but other areas will see sunny spells.
Highs: 16–21°C, coolest in the northwest.
Winds: Moderate to fresh westerly.
Friday:
Mostly dry with some mist or drizzle in the north and northwest. Elsewhere will be dry but generally overcast.
Highs: 17–20°C.
Winds: Moderate to fresh west-southwesterly.
Weekend and Beyond:
Remaining changeable with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers, especially near Atlantic coasts. Southern and eastern regions will have the best chance of dry and bright spells. Winds will generally be moderate westerly over the weekend, becoming lighter and more variable early next week. Temperatures will stay near average, with low 20s likely in many areas away from the northwest.
