Long Range Weather Forecast for Ireland

Ireland will enjoy a largely warm and settled weekend, with the best of the sunshine in the north and east. While most areas stay dry, occasional showers may brush the southwest, and more unsettled conditions are set to develop gradually early next week, before a cooler, largely spell takes hold through to Saturday.

Another warm day. The best sunshine will be in Leinster and Ulster, though it may be hazier elsewhere. The far southwest will be cloudier at times with the chance of an isolated shower.

Monday
Mostly dry in the east. Scattered showers developing in Munster and south Connacht, some heavy and thundery with localised downpours. Sunshine at times. A spell of more persistent rain may move into the southwest Monday night.
Highs: 17–25°C, cooler in Munster
Winds: Gentle east to southeasterly
Tuesday
A little cooler. Heavy showers or longer spells of rain early in Munster and south Leinster; drier and cloudier elsewhere. Some brighter spells breaking through later.
Highs: 17–22°C
Winds: Light east to northeasterly
Wednesday
A mix of cloud and occasional sunny breaks.
Highs: 17–23°C
Winds: Gentle east-northeasterly
Outlook
Largely settled through the rest of next week and into the following week, with only occasional showers, particularly on Saturday. Rainfall totals near average in Munster but below average elsewhere, with the northeast possibly staying dry into next weekend. Temperatures will remain close to or slightly above seasonal norms (high teens to low 20s). Long-range guidance suggests the remnants of Hurricane Erin could reach northwest Europe around August 26–27, potentially ushering in a more unsettled spell to close out August and the start of September.
