2006: Hurricane Gordon intensifies over the Atlantic before weakening near the Azores. Its remnants bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of Ireland.
2018: Storm Ali is named by the UK Met Office. It brings winds of up to 150 km/h, widespread disruption, and causes a fatality in Ireland.
