1965 – Dublin receives 44 mm of rainfall in a single day.

1969 – Belfast sees temperatures drop to -2 °C.

1998 – Casement Aerodrome and Kilkenny Castle both report an overnight low of -3.8 °C.

2009 – Heavy, persistent rainfall continues across the country, with many locations recording over an inch of rain in 24 hours. The Carrigadrohid reservoir rises rapidly, prompting the ESB to spill water into downstream reservoirs and discharge 150 m³/s from Inniscarra Dam, the maximum safe rate without flooding the Lee below.

2016 – Storm Barney approaches, with a gust of 93.5 km/h recorded at Malin Head, Co Donegal. Its main impact occurs the following day.
