A weak cold front will draw cooler air south across Ireland during Thursday.

Following a highs of 25.8°C on Wednesday, temperatures later Thursday afternoon will range from 11 to 15°C in Ulster and north Connacht to 16 to 22°C further south, warmest in southern coastal counties.

Temperatures for Friday through the Bank Holiday Weekend will range from 11°C to 18°C, once again coolest in the north and warmest in the south.

There is a risk of scattered thunderstorms in the west and Midlands on Wednesday evening and overnight, with the risk of thundery showers in Munster and south Leinster during Thursday afternoon and evening.

It will remain predominantly dry through to the end of next week, although scattered showers may drift across Ireland on a north to northeasterly flow from Saturday onward.

Overall conditions up to and including next weekend will be drier than normal, with well below average rainfall totals.

Sunshine will be plentiful, but it may turn hazy at times, especially over the weekend.
