Dry conditions to continue though the coming week

WeathEire_Forecast_2_may-1200x675 Dry conditions to continue though the coming week

Persistent high pressure will deliver exceptionally dry conditions to Ireland over the next 10 to 14 days.

It will turn temporarily cooler on Saturday evening through Monday as a cold front introduces a northerly airflow across Ireland. Sunday will be the coolest day, with temperatures ranging from 9C in the north to 15C in the south.

Temperatures will drop low enough during Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights to bring a touch of frost to sheltered inland locations.

Temperatures will gradually rise everywhere as next week progresses, peaking in the mid to high teens beyond mid-week.

Next week will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with excellent drying conditions.

Isolated showers at times are likely in places inland from Wednesday evening through next weekend, but most places will remain completely dry.

High pressure is favoured to be located close to Ireland as we approach the following week, with rainfall amounts expected to remain below average everywhere.

Alert: has confirmed that a hosepipe ban will be enforced for six weeks from next Tuesday in three regions facing critically low water levels. Read more.
