Ireland will remain under mostly warm and settled conditions over the coming week, with high pressure keeping much of the country dry and sunny. However, scattered thundery showers will develop at times, bringing the risk of local downpours. Temperatures will widely reach the mid to high twenties in parts, before easing back towards average later next week as cooler air moves in from the north-west.

Mainly dry with sunny spells, but scattered showers will develop across the northern half of Leinster and Ulster this afternoon and evening. Some showers will be thundery with locally heavy downpours. Showers will persist for a time in east Ulster early tonight.

Warm with scattered thundery showers across the southern half of Ireland. Largely dry and sunny in Ulster. Showers continuing in Leinster overnight.

Scattered thundery showers spreading from the southwest, with north Leinster and Ulster staying mostly dry. Sunshine at times for all areas.

Outlook
Warm conditions will persist into early next week under high pressure, lasting until mid-week. A disturbance will approach the south coast, bringing outbreaks of rain or scattered thundery showers, especially in Munster and Leinster. North Connacht and west Ulster will remain driest, but all areas will see sunny spells. Temperatures will cool by the end of the week, returning to near average.
