Ireland will enjoy a warm, mostly dry spell through the weekend and into next week, with sunshine in many areas and temperatures well above average. Scattered showers and the odd thunderstorm will develop at times, mainly in the west and south, but rainfall will stay well below normal.

Saturday
Dry and warm overall. Scattered showers developing in the southwest, moving north into Connacht and possibly southwestern Leinster. Many places will stay dry. Sunshine most abundant in the north and east, with long bright spells elsewhere.

Winds: Moderate easterly

Sunday
Warm with scattered thundery showers in the afternoon, though many areas will remain dry.
Highs: 20–27°C (coolest along the southwest coast)
Winds: Moderate southeasterly

Monday
Scattered thundery showers spreading from the south; north Leinster and Ulster mostly dry. Sunshine at times. A more persistent spell of rain may affect the southwest Monday night.
Highs: 17–25°C (cooler in Munster and south Connacht)
Winds: Gentle east to southeasterly

Tuesday
Heavy showers or more persistent rain early in parts of Munster; dry and cloudy elsewhere. Clearer weather with sunny spells spreading northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 19–24°C (coolest on the Irish Sea coast)
Winds: Light east to southeasterly

Outlook
Largely settled through the rest of next week and into the following week, with only occasional showers. Rainfall totals will be well below average, and temperatures will stay above seasonal norms. A slight dip to the high teens or low 20s is expected late next week. Long-range models indicate the remnants of Hurricane Erin could reach northwest Europe around August 26–27, potentially bringing more unsettled weather to Ireland.
