Ireland will enjoy plenty of dry and warm weather up to Monday, with temperatures remaining above average for mid-August. Conditions will become more unsettled from Monday evening, with above-average rainfall returning.
Today – Thursday
Largely dry with some light patchy mist or drizzle possible near the north coast. Widespread sunshine, though some cloud cover at times in the far southwest and northeast.

- Winds: Light east, veering northwest later
Friday
Widespread sunshine to start, but cloud will move into the northwest and north by late morning before extending southeast. It will remain sunny in Munster, East Ulster and much of Leinster until evening. A few showers will move into Ulster and western counties later, with scattered showers developing in north Connacht and west Ulster during the afternoon.

Saturday
Cloudy through the morning, with sunshine breaking through in many places from early afternoon. Some scattered showers drifting north, but staying dry further south and east.

Sunday
Bright to start, particularly in the east. Cloud increasing from the west later, with patchy mist or drizzle possible along Atlantic coasts by evening, clearing early in the night.

- Winds: Gentle southeast
Monday
Warm and humid. Many areas will be dry with sunshine, but cloud will build from the west. Rain will reach the southwest, west and northwest by late evening.

Turning cooler and more unsettled as Atlantic systems bring scattered rain and showers. Rainfall will be above normal, especially in the western half of Ireland. The remnants of Hurricane Erin are expected to remain largely offshore to the west. Winds will be moderate to fresh southeast at times.
