The UK Met Office predicts high pressure will bring mostly dry and settled weather from 15 August to 24 August, with temperatures generally above normal.

Light showers may occur in northern areas, while heavy, thundery showers are possible in the south over the weekend.

Warm or very warm conditions could persist, especially in southern regions.

From 25 August to 8 September, settled conditions are likely to continue early on, though occasional rain, showers, and thunderstorms may develop.

Temperatures are expected to remain above average overall, with potential hot spells in the east and south.

According to the UKMO, there is some uncertainty toward the end of August, with signs that high pressure may weaken and bring more rain.

Overall, the outlook points to a warm and mostly dry period, with occasional showers and thunderstorms mainly in northern and southern parts.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann has released its extended weather outlook covering the period from mid-August to early September, providing a detailed forecast for Ireland over the coming weeks and the broader August-September-October season.
