Tropical Storm Jerry is nearing its end in the western Atlantic, with forecasters warning that the system could dissipate into a trough of low pressure at any time.

Once a more organised cyclone, Jerry has weakened considerably. As of Saturday afternoon, it was located about 740 kilometres south-southeast of Bermuda, moving north at 26 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h. No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.

While Jerry is not expected to impact land directly, swells generated by the storm continue to affect parts of the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. These conditions are producing dangerous surf and rip currents.

ropical Storm Jerry is now the tenth named system of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, following the name Imelda and preceding Karen

Elsewhere in the Atlantic, a tropical wave located well to the south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing disorganised showers and thunderstorms.

The system is moving west-northwestward at 24 to 32 km/h and has a low chance of development, with a 10 percent formation chance over the next 48 hours and 30 percent over the next seven days.
