The pink hues of the Aurora Borealis

Astronomy Ireland will host a public lecture on Zoom on October 13th at 7pm featuring Scottish astrophotographer Andrew Allan.

Allan is a self-taught photographer known for capturing images of the night sky for organisations including the BBC, Visit Scotland and Audi.

He travels across Scotland photographing dark skies, the Milky Way, moon rises, and makes annual trips to the Arctic to film the Northern Lights.

During the lecture, Allan will explain the equipment and software he uses to create his images and videos of the cosmos.

Tickets cost between €5 and €10.
