Met Éireann Issues Small Craft Warnings

Met Éireann has issued two Small Craft Warnings as strong Atlantic winds are set to impact Irish coastal waters this weekend and into Monday.
The first warning is in effect from Erris Head to Bloody Foreland to Fair Head, where southwest to west winds are forecast to reach Force 6 at times. This alert is valid to 19:00 on Saturday and was issued just before midday.
A second warning has been issued for waters from Loop Head to Erris Head to Malin Head, where southerly winds are also expected to reach Force 6 at times. This warning will come into force at 12:00 on Sunday and remain in place until 10:00 on Monday morning.
The warnings come as Ireland continues to experience a predominantly westerly Atlantic airflow, which is expected to bring a mix of sunshine and showers nationwide over the coming days.
