A mostly settled weekend lies ahead with dry spells and some sunshine, especially in the east, though patchy drizzle may develop in the west. Conditions will turn increasingly wet and windy from Sunday night, with a spell of unseasonably strong winds and heavy rain expected on Monday as a deep low-pressure system crosses to the northwest of Ireland. The rest of the week will remain changeable with temperatures near or slightly above average, particularly in the south and east.

Dry with scattered cloud. It will become cloudier in the west later in the night, with some patchy drizzle developing.
Lows: 9–13°C.
Winds: Light southwesterly.

Saturday:
Largely dry, though some light drizzle will affect the west and northwest later in the day. Best of the sunshine in the southeast and east.
Highs: 16–20°C.
Winds: Gentle to moderate southwesterly.

Sunday:
Morning rain over east Ulster and scattered showers elsewhere will clear eastwards, leaving a largely dry afternoon. Winds will strengthen in the west from midnight, with widespread and heavy rain arriving in the northwest. It will turn increasingly wet and windy nationwide by Sunday night.
Highs: 17–22°C, warmest in the south and southeast.
Winds: Moderate west-northwesterly, easing later in the day.

Monday:
Wet and windy nationwide due to Storm Floris. A deepening low-pressure system will move across the country early in the day. Gusts over 90 km/h are expected along the Atlantic coast and in Ulster. Rain will be heaviest in the southwest, west, and north, with drier and less windy conditions at times in the east.
Highs: 14–19°C, coolest in the northwest.
Winds: Strong southwesterly, later veering fresh northwesterly.

Tuesday:
Damp to start over Ulster, but drier and brighter elsewhere. The south and west will stay mostly dry.
Highs: 16–20°C.
Winds: Fresh northwesterly, easing later.


Outlook:
A band of heavy rain will move up from the southwest on Wednesday. The rest of the week will stay changeable, with mostly cloudy skies and occasional mist or drizzle along Atlantic coasts. Southern and eastern areas will see drier and brighter intervals. Temperatures will remain around seasonal norms—slightly above average in the south and southeast. Values may reach the low 20s more widely away from the northwest later in the week.
