1963: Temperature drops to –4.9 °C at Phoenix Park.
1973: Significant flooding affects the south and southwest of Ireland.
2000: Met Éireann reports September, October and November rainfall totals are the highest in living memory. The month ends with another storm as gales up to 80 mph (130 km/h) hit Cork, Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.
2001: Phoenix Park in Dublin records a daily maximum of 16.3 °C.
2009: The River Liffey bursts its banks around Dublin and east Kildare, causing flooding and evacuations. Emergency services pump water from the Waterways Estate in Sallins and 104 families are evacuated.
2010: Knock Airport records a maximum temperature of 0.9 °C. Thundersnow is reported in Dublin.
