A wet start with some heavy falls of rain. Scattered showers will follow from the west by mid-morning, though rain will be slow to clear East Ulster.

Unsettled with showers along the Atlantic coast, spreading more widely in the afternoon. The southeast and south will see the best of any dry spells.

Mostly dry in the east, with showers in the west on a southwesterly airflow. Persistent rain will affect western and northwestern coasts, possibly moving further inland. Rain is expected to spread eastward by late Friday and overnight.

Dry to start in the east and south. Rain in the southwest will spread nationwide, with some local downpours. Showers will follow in the west by evening.

Widespread rain to begin the day, clearing to scattered showers in the southwest by mid-morning and slowly extending northeast.

Next week
Unsettled conditions will continue with frequent rain and showers, and occasional moderate to fresh winds. Rainfall will remain well above average and temperatures slightly below normal. Toward mid-September, high pressure building from the south may bring more settled weather to the south and east.
