Scattered cloud and hazy sunshine dominated Ireland’s weather on Thursday.

A Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite image of Ireland showed that many parts of the island enjoyed some sunshine during the day.

For Wexford town and the thousands of people attending Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2025, there were spells of hazy sunshine throughout the day.

Most of Ireland has seen significantly less rainfall than average over the past week, especially in the south and east. Dublin Airport recorded just 4.2mm of rain, which is 28 percent of normal levels, according to Met Éireann.

The coming days will bring a mix of dry spells, hazy sunshine, and patchy rain. Much of the south and east is expected to remain mostly dry through the weekend. Temperatures will rise steadily, turning very warm by Monday and Tuesday, particularly across Munster and Leinster. While thundery showers may occur at times, especially early next week, conditions will remain largely settled before turning cooler later in the week.
