Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Small Craft Warning for all coasts of Ireland, with strong winds expected to impact marine activities on Saturday.

Southwest to west winds are forecast to reach force 6 or higher at times between midnight and 10:00am on Saturday. The warning was initially issued on Thursday and updated this morning.

A further warning has been issued for the stretch from Erris Head to Bloody Foreland to Fair Head, where westerly winds are expected to remain at force 6 through Saturday afternoon. This second warning is valid from 10:00am to 7:00pm on the same day.

Small Craft Warnings are issued when winds of force 6 or greater (22–27 knots) are expected, posing a hazard to smaller vessels. Met Éireann advises mariners and coastal users to take precautions.
