Marine-Warning-2-1200x675 Met Éireann issues small craft warnings for western coastal waters

Met Éireann has issued two small craft warnings for the western seaboard, from Valentia to Erris Head to Malin Head.

The first warning, already in effect, runs from 11:00am on Monday until 06:00am on Tuesday, with southerly winds expected to reach force 6 at times.

A second warning has been issued for the same stretch of coast, valid from 4:00pm on Tuesday until midnight on Thursday October 2nd. South or southwesterly winds will again reach force 6 at times.

Both warnings are classified as yellow status.

Ireland’s weather will turn increasingly unsettled through the coming week and into the following week as high pressure retreats eastward. Rain will affect all areas and it will turn windy at times next weekend.
