2013: Oak Park in Carlow logs the year’s warmest day so far with 29.5°C — just a week before temperatures climb even higher, hitting 31°C in Dooks, County Kerry.
2017: Markree, County Sligo, records a chilly 3.0°C — its lowest July temperature since 1990.
