2018: Storm Callum brings storm-force winds to Sherkin Island, Co Cork. The station records the month’s highest 10-minute mean wind speed of 49 knots (91 km/h).

2023: Dublin records a top temperature of 21.7 °C.

2024: Moore Park, Co Cork, records the month’s lowest air temperature of -1.6°C, 8.0°C below the long-term average. A vivid display of the Northern Lights is also observed across Ireland.
