1968: Belfast records almost 2 in (46 mm) of rain, a record for the date.

1980: Heavy rain and localized flooding affect parts of the west during the first of two consecutive wet days. Valentia, Co Kerry, records 47 mm of rain, while parts of Mayo and Galway report 2 inches of rain the following day. Intense thunderstorms worsen conditions.

1988: Overnight temperature drops to –4.5 °C at Phoenix Park, Dublin.

2005: Dooks, Co Kerry, records a maximum temperature of 20.1 °C, Ireland’s highest November maximum on record.

2009: Over 1 inch of rain falls across most of Ireland on the first day of an exceptionally wet month, causing extensive river flooding.

2017: Ireland’s highest November temperature (16.6 °C) is recorded at Newport, Co Mayo, the highest for the month since 1998.

2020: Belmullet, Co Mayo, records a 107 km/h wind gust.
