
Ireland shines bright in final day of dry spell
Widespread sunshine across Ireland on Friday marked the final full day of warm and settled conditions in the current dry spell.
Live webcams from Cork to Donegal and from Galway to Dublin showed clear blue skies.
Top temperatures during Friday on Friday ranged from 18 to 22°C in a week that saw Ireland’s warmest day of the year to date recorded at Newport Furnace in County Mayo.
The Met Éireann synoptic station saw the mercury level rise to 21.9°C on Wednesday.
Cooler and more unsettled conditions will gradually take hold over the weekend.
