Small Craft Warnings for Irish Coastal Waters

Met Éireann has issued two separate Small Craft Warnings for sections of the Irish coast, with strong winds expected to impact marine activities over the coming days.
The first warning applies from Wicklow Head to Roche’s Point to Slyne Head, where west to southwest winds are forecast to reach Force 6 at times. This warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
A second Small Craft Warning was issued later in the day, covering the area from Valentia to Loop Head to Slyne Head. Here, south to southwest winds are also expected to reach Force 6, and the warning will be valid from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Force 6 winds on the Beaufort scale correspond to strong breezes with speeds of 39 to 49 km/h (21 to 27 knots), which can produce rough seas and pose hazards to smaller vessels.
Mariners are advised to exercise caution and consult the latest forecasts and sea area bulletins before setting out.
