
Status Yellow marine warning in force for south coast

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow marine warning for the south coast, in effect until 7pm this evening.
The warning covers the area from Hook Head to Roche’s Point to Valentia, where east to southeast winds are forecast to reach force 6 at times. The advisory, updated early on Sunday morning, warns of challenging conditions for small craft.
The alert came into force at 6am on Sunday and will remain valid until 7pm. The warning was first issued late on Saturday night and updated shortly after 5am on Sunday.
On land, winds are gentle to moderate easterly, easing overnight.
