Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Kerry, Clare and Galway as strong and gusty westerly winds are expected from late Sunday night into Monday morning.

The warning will be in place from 9pm on Sunday until 6am on Monday, with forecasters cautioning of difficult travelling conditions and the risk of debris or loose objects being displaced.

A series of marine warnings are also in effect. A Status Yellow small craft warning has been issued for all Irish coasts, with southeasterly winds veering southwest to west and reaching force 6 or higher. This warning is valid from 5am on Sunday until 6am on Tuesday.

In addition, gale warnings have been issued for multiple sea areas. Southeasterly winds are forecast to reach gale force 8 at times from Slyne Head to Fair Head to Carnsore Point and on the Irish Sea between 8am and 6pm on Sunday.

A further gale warning is in place from Strangford Lough to Hook Head to Rossan Point and on the Irish Sea, where westerly winds are expected to reach gale force 8 or strong gale force 9 between Sunday afternoon and late Monday night.
