
Three Marine Warnings issued for Friday

Met Éireann has issued three marine and small craft warnings for the Irish coastline on Friday.
A Status Yellow Gale warning will come into effect from midnight for Slyne Head to Rossan Point to Fair Head.
Effective until midday on Friday, the warning states that west to northwest winds will reach gale force 8 at times.
A Small Craft warning for Hook Head to Rossan Point to Wicklow Head comes into effect from midnight until 8.00 pm on Friday.
Met Éireann says westerly winds will reach force 6 or higher in these coastal areas.
A separate Small Craft warning, effective from 8.00 pm on Friday to 4.00 am on Saturday, relates to west or northwest winds reaching force 6 at times from Slyne Head to Bloody Foreland to Belfast Lough.
After a cold start to Friday morning with the chance of a slight frost in sheltered inland locations of the Midlands and Ulster, daytime temperatures will rise to between 6 and 9 °C. It will feel bitterly cold in a moderate to fresh northwest wind.
Following a cold and frosty beginning to Saturday, it will turn milder during the day as a weak warm front introduces scattered outbreaks of light rain across Ireland during the morning and early afternoon. The day will be generally overcast.
Rainfall totals over the next 48 hours will be highest in northwestern coastal counties (10-15 mm) and lowest in the south and east of Ireland (3-5 mm).
