
Small Craft Warning issued for all Irish coastal waters

Met Éireann has issued a Small Craft Warning for all Irish coastal waters on Sunday and Monday.
The first warning, valid from 8:00 AM on Sunday until midnight on Monday, covers the area from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head.
During this period, southwesterly winds are expected to reach force 6 or higher at times.
Additionally, a Status Yellow marine warning has been issued from Malin Head to Howth Head to Mizen Head.
The alert comes into effect at 6:00 PM on Sunday and remains in place until 4:00 AM on Monday, with similar wind conditions forecast.
Onshore on Sunday, it will feel colder than of late in a gentle west-southwest wind, turning moderate to fresh later.
Winds will initially be moderate southwesterly until late afternoon on Monday before strengthening to fresh south-southwesterly by evening. It will be even windier in the northwest with strong south-southwesterly gusts.
The warm and dry spell came to an end on Saturday evening as temperatures began to dip and scattered outbreaks of rain affected much of Ireland.
