Nine Counties on Yellow Alert as Heavy Rain Moves In

Met Éireann has issued Status Yellow warnings for heavy rain across western parts of Ireland.
Cork and Kerry are expected to see spells of blustery rain from 8pm on Tuesday until 3am on Wednesday, while Cavan, Donegal and Connacht will be affected from 10pm Tuesday until 5am Wednesday.
Heavy spells of blustery rain could cause difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding, according to Met Éireann.

Meanwhile, a Small Craft Warning is in place for all coasts, with southeasterly winds veering southwesterly reaching force 6 or higher from 5pm Tuesday until midnight on Thursday.
In addition, a Gale Warning applies to all coasts and the Irish Sea from 8pm Tuesday to 10am Wednesday, with winds reaching gale force 8 at times.
Met Éireann is advising travellers, boaters and coastal communities to exercise caution over the coming days.
