GALLERY Dry Spell Lets Irish Farmers Get Back to Work

Dry weather is helping Irish farmers get out and about this week, with conditions improving after recent wet spells.
After a mixed weekend, moderate to good drying is expected today, Saturday, and on Monday, allowing farmers to make progress with outdoor tasks. While Sunday will bring some patchy rain and drizzle, mainly in western and northern areas, many regions will still see dry spells.
Showers, possibly heavy, are forecast for Tuesday and may continue into Wednesday. However, some parts of the country could remain dry, offering further opportunities for farm work.

Photos from across Ireland show farmers actively working in fields and tending to livestock, taking advantage of the drier weather. With more frequent sunny spells expected this week, sunshine levels are set to reach or exceed average for the time of year.
These improved conditions are a welcome boost for agricultural activity after recent challenges caused by persistent rain.
