Sunshine Dominates as Storm Tracks North

The east coast of Ireland enjoyed more than 10 hours of sunshine on Monday, despite a start to the day marked by blustery winds and heavy rain.
Storm Floris produced a gust of 104.5 km/h at Malin Head, making it the windiest day in Ireland since February.
However, clearer conditions developed as the Atlantic storm tracked northeast over Scotland. Sunny spells and scattered cloud appeared widely, and satellite imagery from Copernicus Sentinel-2 showed largely clear skies over Wexford, Waterford, Meath, Down, and Louth.

A generally settled week lies ahead, with plenty of dry weather expected, especially across the south and east.
While the north and northwest may see occasional showers or patchy rain, conditions will remain largely calm, with temperatures near or slightly above average. Winds will be moderate for much of the week, easing at times.
