Rainfall Above Average Across Ireland This Week

Rainfall over the past seven days was above average across the country, according to Met Éireann.
Casement Aerodrome in Co. Dublin recorded the lowest total with 21.8mm, 158 per cent of the average, while the wettest location was Knock Airport in Co. Mayo with 99.6mm, 385 per cent of the average.
Mean air temperatures for the past week were below average. The warmest location was Roches Point in Co. Cork at 13.8 degrees, while the lowest temperature of 11.5 degrees was recorded in Co. Mayo.
Temperatures are expected to remain slightly below normal over the coming week, generally ranging from 11 to 13 degrees. Soil temperatures were average or slightly above average during the past seven days, ranging from 12.6 to just under 15 degrees, and are expected to remain similar in the coming week.
Sunshine totals were near or above average across most of the country. Knock Airport recorded the lowest with 14.9 hours, 60 per cent of the average, while Cork Airport saw 40.3 hours, 131 per cent of the average.
