2003: A prolonged warm spell continues, with temperatures reaching the mid-20s across Ireland.
2008: Shannon Airport logs 38.4 mm of rain in one hour — the highest hourly total for any month in its 63-year record.
2016: Thunderstorms break out, with lightning reported at several stations. Temperatures again rise into the mid-20s.
