2023: Midleton, County Cork, suffers severe flooding following heavy rainfall from Storm Babet. Cork Airport records 55.6 mm of rain, the highest daily total for October since 1995.

2024: Storm Ashley, named by Met Éireann, brings strong southerly winds and high spring tides to western Ireland, causing coastal flooding and large waves.
