Met Éireann issues fresh marine warnings

Met Éireann has issued a series of yellow marine warnings as strong southwesterly to westerly winds are forecast to affect all Irish coasts.
A small craft warning is in place until 6pm on Monday, with winds expected to reach force 6 or higher. The warning, first issued late on Sunday night, covers the entire coastline.
From 6pm on Monday, the warning becomes more localised, applying from Erris Head to Bloody Foreland to Fair Head, where similar conditions are expected to persist until 2am on Tuesday.
The forecaster advises that southwest to west winds of force 6 will create difficult conditions for smaller vessels.
The alerts follow a weekend of unsettled weather as Atlantic low pressure systems continue to drive wet and blustery conditions across the country.
