A bright start for the eastern half of Ireland with just a few isolated showers. Patchy mist or drizzle in the west. Showers will become more frequent and widespread from late morning into the afternoon, with occasional sunny spells in places.

Winds: Light to moderate west to northwesterly.

Wednesday
Scattered showers feeding into the north and west, but largely dry elsewhere with good sunny spells developing. Showers will die out by evening.
Temperatures: 16 to 21°C
Winds: Moderate northwesterly.

Thursday
Plenty of dry weather, with the best of the sunshine in the eastern half of the country. Cloud will increase in the west by evening, with some patchy drizzle or mist developing.
Temperatures: 17 to 22°C
Winds: Light southwesterly.

Friday
A damp start in the west, but it will brighten up through the day. Showers will become more isolated, with spells of sunshine developing.
Temperatures: 16 to 22°C, coolest in the north and northwest.
Winds: Light to moderate northwesterly.

Saturday
Largely dry for most, apart from the far northwest where there may be patches of drizzle or mist. Isolated showers will affect west Ulster and Connacht. A band of rain may edge into southern and southwestern coastal areas later in the day.
Temperatures: 17 to 21°C, possibly a degree or two higher in the south and southeast.
Winds: Moderate westerly.

Sunday
A band of heavy showers, possibly merging into longer spells of rain, is likely to affect the west and north. Southern and southeastern areas will stay drier.
Temperatures: 16 to 22°C
Winds: Moderate westerly.

Outlook for Next Week
High pressure will ridge north over the southern half of Ireland, bringing generally settled conditions there to start the week. A predominantly westerly Atlantic airflow will continue, bringing occasional showers to the north and northwest. The south and southeast will remain driest.
Temperatures: Similar to this week, reaching the low 20s in the south and southeast.
Winds: Moderate, occasionally fresh, west to southwesterly.
