Scattered showers and sunny spells dominated weather conditions on Sunday.
The long dry spell came to an end during Saturday with many areas seeing light rain and drizzle.
The weekday highs of 17 to 22c have been replaced by much cooler temperatures in the range of 10 to 13c.
The live webcam at Dublin Port showed scattered cloud cover and sunny spells on Sunday afternoon as a container ship departed for Cork.
The coming week will bring slightly above-average sunshine amounts and temperatures (11–13°C) close to the seasonal norm.
