Dublin’s Phoenix Park will host the annual Biodiversity Festival and Honey Show on Saturday, 6 September, offering free tours, lectures, and activities for all ages.

Visitors can take part in forest bathing, mythological tree tours, pond dipping, and a variety of educational workshops. Talks will cover topics including invasive species and community biodiversity, featuring speakers such as Kate Chandler from the National Biodiversity Data Centre and OPW ecologist Criostóir Mac Cuirc.

Tours of the restored Victorian Walled Garden will showcase herbaceous borders, dahlias, and espaliered fruit trees. Face painters will also be on site from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran TD, welcomed the event, highlighting its role in promoting understanding of Dublin’s biodiversity.
