Mixed Conditions Ahead with Warmer Weather on the Way

Ireland’s weather between now and next Friday will be a mixed bag, with scattered showers and occasional longer spells of rain.
That said, there will be plenty of dry spells in the mix too, and overall rainfall amounts will stay below average for most areas.
The driest conditions are expected in East Munster and South Leinster, where rainfall totals will likely remain between 5 and 10mm. In contrast, the far northwest could see more persistent rain, with totals reaching 40 to 50mm.
Thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Friday, so keep an eye on updates mid-week.
Temperatures this weekend will hover between 13°C and 16°C, but things will turn noticeably milder by mid-week, with highs of 18°C to 21°C—up to 2°C above the seasonal average.
Looking further ahead, there are promising signs of a return to more settled conditions by next weekend. Temperatures could climb into the low to mid-20s, with drier and more summer-like weather taking hold across much of the country.
