Long range weather forecast for Ireland

WeathEire_Forecast-3-1200x675 Long range weather forecast for Ireland

Amid the current gloomy conditions, the good news on the weather front is that drier-than-average conditions will take hold in most of Ireland from Sunday.

Next week’s weather will be largely influenced by high pressure, with temperatures rising to above-average values (17–21°C) for the time of year.

It will feel warm in any sunshine, with gentle winds throughout the week. Present indications are that temperatures could rise into the low to mid-20s in inland locations by the end of the working week.

Temperatures will remain closer to normal along northern and northwestern coasts, where Atlantic fronts may produce some light rain or drizzle at times. Even here, there will be bright or sunny spells.

High pressure will continue to influence our weather into the following week, but there are weak signals that Atlantic fronts may edge closer to, or over, Ireland at times.

In the meantime, rainfall warnings remain in place for 25 counties. and the UK Met Office have issued multiple Status Yellow weather warnings today as heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms move across Ireland.
